Perth’s young Deathcore masters Daybreak have been on the lips of the Australian heavy community for some time now. Recently, they were announced as one of the supports touring the country with Alpha Wolf, and today they are announcing the imminent arrival of new music – a three-track EP called Godfather which is streaming now at Spotify. The Godfather EP will be released on Wednesday May 22 and can be pre-ordered at here!
The video for the killer and brutal title track of the release is out today – and features the band playing the intense track inside an old mansion, which then transitions into Daybreak playing inside a cage of lights inside a massive black void. While the pure anger of their youth still remains, the bands sound has matured into its current state – leaving behind their high school beginnings and moving forward into young adult life. They’re not kids anymore, and they are more focused than ever!
The new EP Godfather shows the band refining their sound further, With 3 tracks coming from 3 different angles of the heavy genre as the band see it. Vocalist Shaun Cox describes this release as “…the true genesis of Daybreak.”
