I Killed The Prom Queen were touring Asia when they were held up in Malaysia and detained.
The band had just finished a show in Kuala Lumpur when authorities detained them for not having the correct visa to perform in that country. According to band member Jona Weinhofen, authorities will detain the band in an immigration centre for 4 – 14 days. Before they were arrested, Jona tweeted that some of the immigration officers asked the band for autographs and one was wearing an I Killed The Prom Queen t-shirt.
