Released earlier this year, Babyjane’s latest single, Do Ya is both a sign of things to come as well as a unique entity within the band’s catalogue. The track sees the band head down a much more metallic path than on previous releases, owed to the production job of ex-Guns N’ Roses axeman Gilby Clarke. This places the track between two worlds; song writing-wise, it demonstrates the band’s evolution towards a more refined style likely to feature on upcoming album 23 Sins. However, Clarke will not be working on the new record with Babyjane, meaning this may be the band’s one and only foray into such heavy production. Regardless, Do Ya is a banger of a tune, carried forward by the same passion and drive the band has displayed on previous records.
